I started Adolescence last night. So just be aware that I’m in a fragile place (I’m only on episode 2 over here). I’m certainly not coming for men in this piece, so don’t get it twisted. In fact, I’m raising a man (well, a 14 month old man) and you better believe I have faith that he will be the best partner there ever was. But even so, I still don’t think he should wear the pants in a future relationship.

I was raised Jewish, and one of the values instilled in me as a young woman was that the man is the head of the family, but the woman is the neck. The neck turns the head, and makes all of the decisions as a result. If the man is the head and the neck, where does the woman fit in?
